Baby shower word scramble

What’s included

• 16 scrambled words with a line to write each answer
• An answer sheet on page 2
• Name and score boxes
• 2 A4 pages, designed to print well in colour or black and white

How to play

1. Print one sheet per guest and hand them out face down with pens.
2. Say “go” and start a timer. Guests unscramble each word and write the answer on the line.
3. The first guest to finish calls out “done”. Check their sheet against the answer key on page two.
4. If they have them all right, they win. If not, carry on until someone has a perfect sheet, or give it to the most correct answers after five minutes.

Tips

• Give a gentle hint if people get stuck: every answer is something a new baby needs or does.
• For a calmer version, play in pairs and give everyone ten minutes.
• Keep the answer key with the host; it’s page two of the PDF.

Printing tips

• Print at 100% or “Actual size” rather than “Fit to page”, so nothing gets trimmed.
• Everything is A4. If your printer only takes US Letter, choose “Fit to page” instead.
• Thicker paper (120–160gsm) feels nicer to write on and survives a night out; plain 80gsm is fine too.
• Black and white works: the designs are made to stay clear without colour.
